About this tool
It is designed to safely mount a flap disc with a 22.23 mm (7/8") bore onto an angle grinder.
How it works:
It provides a clamping flange: The threaded hexagonal nut works as a large-flange backing nut. It offers a wide, flat surface to hold the flap disc evenly, preventing slippage or deformation during high-speed rotation.
Adapts the shaft size: The flat washer (spacer) fills the gap between the disc’s large 22.23 mm bore and the smaller thread of the angle grinder spindle (usually M14). This centres the disc and eliminates vibration.
Secure mounting: Together, the hexagonal nut and washer lock the abrasive disc firmly onto the grinder spindle for grinding and sanding work.
